Lip Tattoo techniques

Expert cosmetic tattoo artistry can subtly restore fullness and symmetry to your lips by enhancing the natural colouring and lip line. Depending on your individual needs, Claire uses two methods of specialist lip micropigmentation to achieve the effect of an even and natural lip:

Lip Brush – this technique restores the outline of your lip shape before blending colour into the natural lip, creating a soft and subtle appearance.

Full Lip Tint – this treatment helps enhance pale and uneven lip colour, with a large variety of shades available to precisely match your natural pigment.

What to expect at your Lip tattoo appointment

Before treatment, you will receive a personal consultation and tailored colour match to ensure you’re happy with your pigment and lip shape prior to application.

After your initial consultation, your treatment will take approximately two and a half hours, with the highest standards in hygiene, safety, technology and pigments guaranteed throughout.

Please note: clients who have previously suffered from cold sores must inform the clinic before their treatment.

What to expect after your appointment

For five days after your appointment, some swelling may occur, and your lip colour may appear more intense than expected during the healing process. You may also notice slight variations in shade at different times of the day and month, due to hormonal changes and body temperature.

After the healing process is complete, clients should also schedule a perfection visit to make any necessary touch-ups to their lip blush shade. This visit is recommended within the first eight weeks after treatment.

Caring for your Lip tattoo

With proper care, the results of your lip micropigmentation will last from two to four years. However, a touch-up treatment is recommended every 18 months.

After your treatment, it’s vital to follow the aftercare instructions for best results:

Inform the clinic if you have previously suffered from cold sores, and follow the advice that’s applicable to you.

Keep your lips moist for two weeks with antiseptic balm.

Avoid hot liquids and drink through a straw until healed.

Avoid any kind of lip contact for five days after treatment.

Do not pick at scabs or flakiness.

Apply sunscreen (SPF 50+) at all times after the healing process is complete.
